A heartbreaking video clip of hostage-taking incident where the hostage-taker asking San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora goes viral and makes netizens became emotional.

In our previous article, on Monday, March 2, authorities reported a shooting at a shopping center in San Juan. The Greenhills Center was put to lockdown due to the hostage crisis.

A former security guard named Alchie Paray, armed hostage-taker holds 20 persons and one got reportedly hurt being treated already in a hospital. About 8 PM, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora went inside the mall to talk to the suspect.

Mayor Zamora assured the safety of the suspect once he surrendered peacefully. The 10-hour Greenhills hostage crisis ended as the suspect released the hostages. He spoke before the media to air his sentiments. Then, authorities arrested him.

As he airs his sentiments in front of reporters and authorities. A part of his speech the suspect became emotional as he asks questions to the Mayor of San Juan Francis Zamora.

A video clip shared by a concerned netizen named Echo Panganiban shows a heartbreaking moment of the hostage-taker where he asks a question to Mayor Zamora. He said “Pagkatapos nito, saan ang punta ko? Sa kulungan o sa sementeryo?”

“After this, where should I go? In the jail or in the cemetery?” translated. He asks the Mayor to choose where he should go after the situation. In the video, the mayor’s answer is not cleared but the suspect gives his own answer.

He said “pwede ba na piliin ko na sa sementeryo nalang ako?” (can I choose to go to the cemetery if I do?). after what he said the video plays with emotional background music.

His video has gone viral on social media as netizens express their sympathy to the hostage-taker. Netizens become emotional to the heart-breaking answer of the former security guard who experienced maltreatment on his former job.
