Actress/host Toni Gonzaga revealed how she is dealing with the franchise renewal issue of her mother network ABS-CBN.
Toni was one of the Kapamilya stars who showed support to the media company amid the said issue. This is despite the fact that Robin Padilla who was also part of the network posted tirade against artists who showed support for ABS-CBN.
With this issue, life has to continue, according to Toni. Based on the article from PEP, the actress is dealing with this crisis by just showing up at work. “I think the best thing that we can do right now is just to be present,” the Home Sweetie Home: Extra Sweet actress said.
She added that continuing to be professional with all her showbiz engagement and doing what she is expected do are the right things to do. “Be ready. Know our scenes. Keep doing what we usually do,” the actress shared.
For Toni Gonzaga, the employees of ABS-CBN are most likely to be affected if the company will lead to shutdown. With this, she said that she is hoping that everything will turn out well because the “company is all about giving service to Filipino people.”
The actress also said that she among those people who are praying that the franchise of ABS-CBN will be renewed. “Siguro ang prayer natin is magkaroon ng solusyon, and mag-continue pa rin yung pagbibigay saya sa mga manonoood,” she said, based on the article.
Previously, Toni Gonzaga’s younger sister Alex Gonzaga used humor in addressing the ABS-CBN franchise issue. She jokingly asked Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado during the latter’s CoLove concert with Dennis Trillo if she will support them.
