This was later debunked by the DILG on February 7, saying that this is not from them.
The department further clarified that their policy is that the said implementation of the 14-day quarantine provided in their Memorandum Circular 2020-023 or the Amended Guide to Action against the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19 today) refer only to mainland China and its administrative regions Hong Kong and Macau.
They also clarified that all other travelers from other COVID-19 affected nations can volunteer to undergo quarantine.
They further urged the public to follow official announcements that are posted in their website and official accounts (Facebook: DILG Philippines).
