Taman Desa Building in Malaysia Partially Collapses, Leave 4 Workers Trapped

Taman Desa condo building which is still on construction partially collapses, more than 4 construction workers were trapped in the building.

According to the report of World of Buzz, around 3:37 pm, Friday, February 14, 2020, a massive section of the building suddenly collapsed, leaving destruction in its wake. The photos shown the parts of the construction, including the façade and scaffolding have fallen down.

According to the Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department, three fire trucks and over ten rescue workers have been dispatched to the scene, with operations still ongoing.  Recently, a video footage uploaded to Facebook named as EdgeProp Malaysia, shows the part of the building that collapsed.

In the video, a man who’s said by netizens to be one of the construction workers, can be heard frantically telling his co-workers trapped under mass piles of rubble to remain calm and not move to prevent worsening the already stressful situation.

Towards the end of the video, the man was asked how many people were currently trapped in the building, to which he replied, “7-8 people.” The total number of people trapped at the site is unknown but it is believed that more than four people are currently stuck in the dangerously collapsing structure.

As of right now, one of the construction workers has been rescued while updates are still coming.
