Dead Woman In Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental Identified
TAGOLOAN – A woman was recently found dead in Tagoloan town in Misamis Oriental and was recently identified.
According to SunStar, police reports state that this is allegedly a case of rape slay. In other words, the fatality likely got raped before she was killed by an unknown assailant on Monday, February 10.
Police also identified the woman as named Mae Mancao, aged 18 years and a Grade 12 student of Kalingagan National High School in the town of Villanueva.
According to Mancao’s mother, Mae left their home at 4 PM without consent from her and failed to return home. It was until she learned of her whereabouts when a village official told her that a woman who looked like Mae was found in Poblacion of the said town.
Captain Princess Velarde, spokesperson of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office, said that probers already secured a statement from a witness while they are still knowing the identity of the assailant.
“As of now, ongoing pa ang investigation and we will wait sa report ng investigator regarding the interview sa witness,”
As per the report, Mae was found half clothed and lying lifeless inside an abandoned house. She had no pants and her underwear was place on her mouth. Police discovered a wound on her neck and head injuries.
