A dog in Taal luckily survived from being buried for almost 15 days without food and water in his owner’s house on volcano island.

Recently, in Barangay Alas-as in Batangas, a resident rescued his pet dog, Idol, 15 days after being left on the brink of the Taal Volcano. Footage shows that the dog is thin, seems hungry and thirsty when found.

A Facebook netizen named Germie Balba shared video footage of the rescue operation of the dog buried deep in thick ash due to heavy ashfall emitted by the Taal volcano. According to the caption of the post “15 days nahukay pa rin ang aso ng kapatid ko. Buhay pa rin kahit walang makain at mainom.”

Jhay-R Balba the person who rescued the dog said, that he accidentally walks in the window of their house. At the same place, he heard a growl and whining so he immediately tried to remove the thick ash and the wood that was blocking it.

He found his pet dog, “Idol,” languishing and sluggish after being buried for 15 days without food and drink. Jhay-R felt a sense of joy and sadness over their reunion with the dog and because of the hardships his pet had suffered.
