Police Woman Allegedly Shot Dead In Tubigon, Bohol By Cop Husband
BOHOL – A police woman was allegedly shot to death by her spouse who is a cop inside their home in the Tubigon town, Bohol yesterday morning.
According to GMA News, Tubigon police identified the two as Police Staff Sergeant Juliet Tuquib and Police Staff Sergeant Ariel Tuquib. The incident occurred at 7 AM on January 27, 2020 (Monday).
Juliet was assigned at Clarin Police Station, while Arnel was stationed at the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU).
Initial investigation by the local police show that the couple’s helper, named Analie Ido Suaybagiou, was in the kitchen when she heard a gunshot from the private room of the couple at the second floor of the house followeb by another gunshot.
Responding cops had to force their way in the room since it’s locked from the inside. They found Juliet’s body on the floor covered in blood while Ariel was on the edge of the bed.
Recovered from the scene were one 9mm caliber pistol, Glock 17 loaded with 10 live rounds, cellphones and two empty shells of 9mm.
Based on the report, Ariel was brought to Tubigon Community Hospital for treatment after he also sustained a gunshot wound to his left face. He is in critical condition.
Family problem might possibly the motive of the incident, local police says, adding that the couple always had an argument on different issues.
Acting provincial directorPolice Colonel Jonathan Cabal said that Ariel was subject for dismissal due to a mental problem.
“May history of nervous breakdown. Dahil niyan hindi siya makaduty ng maayos,”
The suspect’s “disability discharge” was being processed.
