Filipino Musician Represent of PH for World’s Longest Hair Record
A Filipino musician in the Philippines is the challenger in the Guinness World of Book Record holder in India for the World’s longest hair.
A 16-year-old teen in India holds the record as having the longest hair in the world. With the tall of 6ft 2 inches, the 16-year-old Nilanshi Patel now holds the Guinness World record for the longest-haired teenager.
GMA News reporter Oscar Oida said, once a week she would wash her hair and take about an hour to comb it. But the Philippines seems to be challenged with Patel’s long hair, the musician Rex Dalumpines, whose hair is more than 6 feet long in dreadlocks.
Rex said that if without the dreadlocks, he could possibly have excess Patel’s long hair. He admits that it’s very time-consuming to fix his hair, especially when coming to work. But it didn’t look like its perks were everywhere
Ever since then, crowning glory has come to the hair. “In ancient Greece in Rome, ‘if you have long hair it is a symbol of power,” according to historian and sociologist Prof. Jim Naval.
Now, people have different reasons for hair extensions. There is for oneself, for love, for faith and even for acts of protest.
