Gen Alpha (Α) – The Generation After Millennials And Gen Z

GEN ALPHA – An Australian sociologist named the new generation after Gen Z and millennials and with ages up to 10 as Gen Alpha.

GEN ALPHA

According to Inquirer’s Lifestyle, the new generation are still children, with the oldest being nine to ten years old. The generation consists of children born from 2010 to onwards and with parents who are millenials.

The term was coined by an Australian sociologist Mark McCrindle, who realized that those born after Gen Z would belong to an entirely different world of technological integration, one where not even the current generation can claim to, despite its technological savvy.

Alpha is not a generation that will begin where Gen Z left of but rather, one that is part of a whole new world, born in the 21st century, hence, the name after the first letter of the Greek alphabet (A | α).

As per the report, a study conducted on a thousand children by Hotwire North America helps gives us insight into the mindset and priorities of this generation.
