Chinese Health Authorities Confirms 3rd Death Due To China Mystery Virus

3rd CHINA VIRUS DEATH – Health authorities in the Wuhan confirmed that another individual has died of pneumonia caused by a new coronavirus.

This would be the third account that a person had died due to the mystery virus. Previously, a 69-year-old man from Wuhan had died due to the virus.

Meanwhile, in other Japan and Thailand also had accounts of the virus. A man from Japan got diagnosed with the virus while two from Thailand were found to have it as well.

According to an article from AsiaNikkei, 198 people have been diagnosed with the mysterious respiratory disease in Wuhan. This included 136 newly diagnosed individuals.

In addition, three people have been infected with the same virus in the capital Beijing and Guangdong in southern China. This would be the first case confirmed in China outside of Wuhan.

Usually, the coronavirus cause symptoms similar to that of the common cold. It infects your nose, sinuses, or upper throat.

The virus is spread through sneezing, coughing, or direct contact with an infected person. However, some types of the virus lead to a more deadly respiratory disease such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

With the upcoming Lunar New Year, health officials elevated concerns due to the mass migration of Chinese individuals to foreign lands for the holidays. This could potentially spread the virus outside of China.

In lieu of this, countries like the US have already begun airport screenings for individuals arriving from China. The Philippines had also imposed strict monitoring in their airports.
