Man Washes Vehicle Windshields Amidst Taal Eruption

TAAL ERUPTION – A photo of a man using his pressure washer to clean the windshields of vehicles passing by during Taal eruption went viral.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported on Sunday that the Taal Volcano recently erupted and released steam, ash, and small rocks.

Local government units in Tagaytay, Batangas, and Cavite urged the residents to leave the area as a precautionary measure for an imminent eruption, which also spawned a lot of earthquakes.

The bureau further raised danger level to 4 in Batangas after fallout occurred at the southwest part of the island.

Amidst the situation, there are those who still try to help as much as they can. A Facebook page named GO Cavite recently posted a photo of a man carrying a pressure washer and washed the windshields of vehicles passing by.

The photo also contained a statement from one of the witnesses, identified as Chris Oñate. This is what he said:

“This man stood out on the street with his pressure washer and washed down people’s windshields as visibility was horrible. All of us frantically driving away from TAll trying to get our families to safety salute you. Good Samaritans amidst amidst this catastrophe. Sir, I don’t know who you are but thank you. Not all heroes wear capes.”
