The Taal Volcano continues to erupt in the wake of its decades-long silence, which began this Sunday, January 12, 2020, causing ashfall, not only in Batangas but in other parts of the country, particularly in Luzon and Metro Manila.
As a result, many concerned citizens have come up with ways to please and help fellow citizens from the scourge of ashfall, especially for motorists who are barely able to see the road because of the thick gray ashes on their vehicle’s windshield.
Recently, several videos and photos of concerned citizens were uploaded on Facebook where some of them serve as instant carwash as vehicles are coated with gray thick ash due to volcano eruption.
A netizen on Facebook named Marj Jorie shared a photo of her husband washing off thick ash on the windshield of vehicles passing in their house. In the photo, you could see her husband standing on the roof of a white van and splashing water on passing vehicles in front of him, through a hose.
Another video was uploaded by Takbong Pogi page on Facebook where a group of men splashing water to the vehicles coated their windshield with thick gray ash, through a pressure washer. This made cleaning faster because of pressure washer water hose.
This should be done to remove the ashes in the windshield glass of such vehicles to prevent accidents on the road while driving. This act of kindness in time of calamities earned praise from the netizens as these videos and photos has gone viral on social media.
