Ex-Batangas Congressman Found Dead Inside Car, Bodies Set On Fire
EX-BATANGAS CONGRESSMAN FOUND DEAD – A former congressman of the Batangas province was found dead inside a vehicle.
The body of the congressman was set on fire inside the vehicle. With him was an unidentified individual.
According to a report from ABS-CBN, residents alerted the authorities that a vehicle was burning in Barangay San Francisco early morning.
Authorities then discovered the remains of former Batangas 2nd District Rep. Edgar Mendoza and a second victim inside the vehicle after putting out the fire.
As per the report, the 60-year-old Mendoza and the other victim both suffered gunshot wounds.
Based on statements from his family, the former lawmaker departed his home for a meeting in Calamba, Laguna on Wednesday with his driver and an aide.
Afterward, his family had reported him as missing after he failed to get home according to the police.
