“Here To Stay” McDo PH Takes Jab At Jollibee With Own Poster
“HERE TO STAY” – Within a day after Jollibee’s announcement of ending the Champ Burger, McDo PH took the opportunity to take a jab at their competitor.
Jollibee has ended an era with the retirement of the Champ Burger. They said they did this to make room for “new and exciting” things in their burger line-up
McDonald’s uploaded their simple poster on their Facebook page that had a picture of their Big Mac with the caption “Here to stay”. They also added “A true classic never phases out. Get a Big Mac now at McDonald’s.“
Because of this, netizens went wild on the comments and shared their thoughts on the shade brought by McDonald’s.
One netizen named Yumang J Gene said:
“People keep talking about jolibee lol thats so hilarious cuz jolibee is for kids… mc donalds came out first… jolibee is only a knock off… kitty meals 👎“.
His comment started a mini-war between Jollibee fans and McDonald’s fans. Others came to Jolibee’s defence and said that people are only forced to go to McDo when Jollibee is full.
Meanwhile, another netizen noted that McDonald’s copied from a franchise called Louis’ Lunch. He stated that McDo itself is another knock off.
Instead of getting the positive feedback they wanted, McDo PH instead got a lot of netizens complaining about their menus. Most of them citing the inconsistencies in their food.
Haven’t ordered the big mac again here in the PH for over 10 years. the meat is ridiculously thin, so I go for the quarter pounder instead. Should’ve compared the champ to that instead.
