Jackie Chan Almost Drowns Shooting A Jet Ski Scene For Latest Film
JACKIE CHAN ALMOST DROWNS – It’s well known that Jacki Chan is one of the few action stars that actually do their own stunts. But, sometimes, things can get dangerous.
Chan got trapped under a rock while shooting a jet ski scene for his latest movie, Vanguard. Even though the risk of drowning was high, Jackie Chan remained calm.
Luckily, his crew came to his rescue just in time. However, the movie’s director, Stanley Tong, wasn’t as calm as the actor. He stated that he was terrified of the worst possible scenario.
Afterward, when he so that Chan was safe and sound, he burst into tears. Meanwhile, the gravity of the incident only hit Chan as he was taking a shower in his home.

According to Tong, who had worked with Chan for many films like Police Story 3: Super Cop (1992), CZ12 (2012), and Kung Fu Yoga (2017), the incident is a clear explanation of why Chan is a global star.
He stated that the actor is dedicated to giving his all whenever shooting a film. Chan primarily doesn’t use any stuntmen or body doubles.
Although this was a horrifying experience for the crew and Jackie Chan, the incident wasn’t the first time the actor had a near-death experience.
According to an article from Mothership, Chan suffered a spinal injury as he was filming “Project A”. In addition, he also dislocated his sternum from a falling incident in “Armour of God II: Operation Condor”.
Aside from this, the death-defying actor also suffered a cracked skull he got from a fall in “Armour of God”. This, in turn, required the actor to undergo brain surgery.
