150 Badjaos Begging In Agham Road Forced Out By Authorities
150 BADJAOS FORCED OUT – During the Christmas season, there is an abundance of Badjaos swarm the cities begging for Money.
This caused the authorities to take action in containing the number of Native Badjaos on the streets. According to ABS-CBN, Badjao Families flocked to the streets starting December 18.
Recently, over 150 Badjaos that were begging on Agham Road were forced to go with the Quezon City (QC) Task force. As per the article, the Badjao Families came from Lucena, Quezon to beg in Manila.
According to Rannie Ludovica of QC Task Force Disiplina, they are concerned with the safety of the Badjao. Along with this, they are concerned with the welfare of their babies as well.

Meanwhile, according to Dante Sairani, one of the natives, they would go back home voluntarily after Christmas. They just wanted to get extra income during the holidays.
However, the local government of Quezon City promised to give help to the native families before they’d be taken back to Lucena, Quezon.
Following this, the families were taken to the covered court of Barangay Batasan Hills. Here, they would be in contact with the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The natives said that they are begging in Manila because they know people are more likely to give them aid during the holidays. They said that most of what they do is for their kids.
