According to the report of Sunstar Cagayan de Oro, a vehicle of the Regional Police Community Relations Division (RPCRD) of the PNP Regional Office (PRO-10) based in Camp Alagar in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City gets clamped by the City’s Road and Traffic Administration along Cruz Taal Street.

The car was probably clamped after parking inside a yellow box which indicates that there should be no obstruction in the area. Once clamped, you’ll get a citation ticket and p1,500 fine.

PRO-10 is conducting an investigation into the incident and explaining to the police officer that the patrol car driver clamped down on why it violated a basic road regulation, according to PRO-10 spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mardy Hortillosa.

According to Hortillosa, if the senior master sergeant driver of the patrol car had the right reason, it would only remind him of the traffic rules. And if there is sufficient reason for it to be punished, it is possible to suspend it.

Police have previously insisted he did not notice the “yellow box.” The patrol car was returned to the PRO-10 headquarters after being paid a P1,500 penalty for violation.

Hortillosa explained that during the investigation, they do not condone mistakes from their ranks because they are supposed to be enforcing peace and order.
