On Sunday (December 15, 2019), a 6.9 magnitude earthquake hit Davao Del Sur. According to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs), it is one of the strong quakes recorded in Davao Oriental with 7.1 magnitude earthquake.
The earthquake was located at 06.80°N, 125.20°E – 009 km N 28° W of Matanao (Davao Del Sur). The quake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 003 kilometers.
In the midst of tremors due to quake, a tricycle driver has been captured by the camera while kneeling down and praying with two hands raising on the sky. It seems that the driver is asking for protection and guidance from the Lord Almighty.
The photo has gone viral on social media after it was posted by a concerned netizen. Many netizens were impressed with the tricycle driver’s action and said it was the right thing to do at that time.
Lots of netizens expressed their reactions on the said photo, they have even offered fervent prayers for those who were affected by the Mindanao earthquake.
