Puerto Rican Fan Allegedly Destroys PH Flag During Miss Universe 2019
MISS UNIVERSE – A Puerto Rican pageant fan allegedly disrespected the Philippine flag during the Miss Universe 2019 pageant.
We can’t deny that beauty pageant is one of the most interesting shows in the world. Pageant fans even travel to the hosting countries just to cheer for their bets.
Fans have their own reason why they got obsessed with beauty pageants. Among them is their love for the glamorous and artistic outfits created by famous designers around the world. Aside from flaunting their glam in the pageant, the candidates get to promote their country and show off their beautiful culture.
Surely, most of us would admit that watching out favorite candidate lose is tough to handle. Some fans just can’t control themselves and expressed their anger to other people.
During the Miss Universe 2019 pageant in Atlanta, Georgia, a Filipino pageant fan named Elaine Estrada Crisostomo claimed that a Puerto Rican fan allegedly destroyed their Philippine flag while waiting for Miss Philippines Gazini Ganados to arrive. She shared a video on Facebook expressing her anguish over the pageant fan’s actions.
Elaine Crisostomo said that the Puerto Rican pageant fan also threw a jab to her friend who’s carrying the Philippine flag. “Sobrang foul yung ginawa dahil binali yung flag natin,” she said.
The Pinay fan said that they reported the incident to the authorities and have asked them to trace the location of the suspects.
“We are calling the police dahil masyado silang pikon, so we are waiting for the police to arrive… ayan oh! Baling bali yung flag natin,” she said.
