This is the clarification of Mayor Isko Moreno on “puting van” issue
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno clarified the issue on “puting van” that allegedy abducts children that went viral on social media these past few days.
As netizens are calling out the attention of Yorme Isko, he set the records straight regarding the white van that created scare online. Through a recent video which was posted on the YouTube channel of Richard Hambre, the former actor turned politician said that the video of the “puting van” that has been circulating on social media was taken back in 2014. “Yung nakikita niyong video na pinakakakalat ng kung sino-sino, hind ko alam kung anong intention ha, ay 2014 video pa po iyon,” he said.
Mayor Isko also said that it is not sure if the video was taken in other place that may look like Manila or the Philippines. The public servant said that since the time he assumed the position as the Mayor of the capital city of the Philippines, there has no reported incident about a van that is abducting children. He also asked General Balba if there is any report in any precinct in Manila regarding this alleged incident of kidnapping. The PNP clarified that there was no abduction incident reported.
Yorme also encouraged the parents to report to the authorities if ever there is an incident of kidnapping. With this social media scare, he also called out to the PNP to be vigilant in watching over the residents in the city and he asked the netizens to verify first the things they read online.
“Alam niyo na ngayon kung bakit namin inimplement ang curfew para walang bata na sa dis oras ng gabi na menor de edad hindi lang baka maaksidente o may mangyaring masama o para di rin sila maging biktima ng kinakatakutan ninyong puting van,” Mayor Isko Moreno said.
