Resham Saeed goes to Poland for Miss Supranational 2019 competition
Filipino-Pakistani beauty queen Resham Saeed headed off to Poland for the Miss Supranational 2019 competition on December 6.
Last November 11, the introduction video of Resham was released on the official YouTube site of the international beauty pageant. In the video, the beauty queen tackled her advocacy – gender equality and women empowerment.
“I knew deep down that I wanted to do something great. To create social change and to advocate for gender equality and women empowerment,” the 25-year old beauty queen said.
On the official Instagram account of Binibining Pilipinas, pageant fans wished Resham good luck for the competition as she proudly carried the Philippine flag. If the Pinay-Pakistani beauty will win the competition half a month from now, she will be the second representative from Philippines who will win the Miss Supranational title. It can be recalled the Mutya Datul won the same title in 2013.
Based on the article from Metro, the Philippine representative for Miss Supranational 2019 was born in Buluan, Maguindanao. However, she grew up in six different countries. “I was raised in six different countries because my dad was a businessman. I also learned to speak five languages because of that,” she shared.
Growing up with four male siblings, Resham was shaped to be one of the boys. In school, she joined the basketball team, the soccer team, the baseball team, the wrestling team, and I used to swim competitively in high school, partly because her mom was the head of the Physical Education department.
“My parents treated me like the eldest son which made me very independent and bold,” she said. Resham Saeed will once again a competition next month but this time it’s not in the field of sports. She is set to show to the whole world what Pinay beauty queens are made of.
Good luck Resham!
