Mayor Isko Moreno Praises Honest Pedicab Driver, Gives Him ₱100K
MAYOR ISKO MORENO – Manila Mayor Isko Moreno recently praised a pedicab driver for returning ₱1 million to the owner.
Moreno recently made a live feed on Facebook. One of the segment was a breaking news which he featured a pedicab driver.
Moreno wanted the public to follow the good will of the driver, , identified as Benjie Ordanza, who returned a bag full of cash worth of about ₱1.2 million to the owner rather than using the cash for his needs. the bag also contained a Rado watch and the owner’s passport, which identified him as Chang Lee.
Ordanza, who lived in the slums, went to the police station to return the bag. This caught the attention of Moreno, who further praised the man and eventually rewarded Ordanza for ₱100K.
Moreno hoped for more good people like Ordanza, who is currently rare nowadays in the modern times.
