Kapuso comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas admitted that she was a “kabit” in the past and these garnered mix reactions from netizens.
The Comedy Concert Queen is now married to her non-showbiz husband Gerald Sibayan. They got married back in 2017. Before Gerald, Ai-Ai got married twice. First to singer Miguel Vera in 1989 but their marriage ended in 1996. After that, she got married to Jed Salang, a businessman. They tied the knot in 2013 and in the same year they got separated. The comedienne accused her former husband of physical abuse.
After the two failed marriages, Ai-Ai is now happily married to Gerald who is now a licensed commercial pilot. Indeed, the popular comedienne has a colorful lovelife but there was also a time in the past that she suffered because of having a relationship with a married man.
In a video posted by entertainment columnist Ricky Lo on his Instagram account, Ai-Ai delas Alas admitted this chapter of her life. She revealed that she was a “kabit” for seven years and they had two children. However, she said that she regretted doing that.
When asked about the lessons she learned from that relationship, she said, “masama ang maging “Cavite City” (kabit/mistress).” She was also to give advice to those women who are in the same situation. “Try niyo na lang na wag maging ganun. Hangga’t maaari kung pwede maiwasan, iwasan na lang. Kasi sabi nga nila, bawat patak ng luha ng legal na asawa, yun ang pagbabayaran mo. Sa tingin ko ang dami kong pinagbayaran,” she shared.
Ai-Ai also admitted that her life as a mistress was never happy. On a popular showbiz site, netizens expressed mix reactions.
