Retired Soldier Gives Back P107,000 To A Senior Citizen
RETIRED SOLDIER – What would you do when you saw over P100,000 cash? That large amount of money does seem terribly tempting.
Some people wouldn’t bat an eye and quickly grab the cash. Finders keepers, losers weepers, as they say.
You could do a lot with that amount of cash. A trip, a vacation, paying huge debts, but this is not the case for this outstanding citizen.
A retired soldier from Dumalinao Zamboanga Del Sur was lauded by netizens as he returned P107,000 cash to a senior citizen.
The veteran was known to be retired army Lt. Honesto Tosoc. With the help of the Dumalinao Police Station, he personally handed the cash back to 76-year old lolo Diosdado Gaco Perater.
Based on reports from Unang Balita, the retired soldier found the bag in Brgy. Sibucao. Because the inside of the bag had the ID of the owner, he could quickly return it to the owner.
Honest si Honesto! Netizens say as they lauded the retired army lt. for his good deeds.
Anybody would’ve had a heart attack if they lost that huge amount of money. It couldn’ve been used for medication, bills, and etc.
Luckily for the senior citizen, He quickly had his money returned to him. Lolo was so thankful for the retired soldier, smiling as he got back his money.
The retired lieutenant definitely became an inspiration and a good example for all. His honesty makes the Philippine army proud as even after retirement, he still serves the country by serving the people.
