Inday Barretto talks about death of her husband Miguel Barretto
Mommy Inday Barretto opened up about the death of her husband and Barretto clan’s patriarch, Miguel Barretto.
Last Tuesday night, October 15, Miguel, finally bid goodbye to his loved ones after several days in the hospital. He was 82 years old. His remains were at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.
Though the wake became controversial as Gretchen Barretto visited despite everyone’s knowledge about their family conflict, Mommy Inday remained strong. Her strength was reflected on the Facebook post of actress/acting coach Beverly Vergel. “It’s harder on the grandchildren,” Inday Barretto said, according to the post.

Apparently, the grandchildren of Miguel are so affected by his death. “Behind closed doors. After the guests have left. Generations of Barretto’s sat inside the chapel. The grandchildren kept going to ‘Pikey’ as they fondly call Tito Mike. They kept touching the cover, wiping, opening, adjusting and closing it, fixing the satin cloth around the coffin’s rim,” Beverly shared.
She is close to the family because she was the acting coach of several of the Barrettos. Beverly also shared the video presentation that Dani and Leon Barretto did for their grandfather. “Both full of love and both showed what ‘Pikey’ meant to them and in their lives. The grandchildren were in tears,” Beverly said.
For the younger generation of the Barrettos, losing their patriarch “greatest loss they’ve experienced in their young lives.”
Meanwhile, reports said that Mommy Inday appeared to mend the conflict between them during the wake. However, this stirred a new issue with Marjorie Barretto.
