Deformed Calf In Agusan Del Norte Born W/ 2 Bodies, 8 Legs
DEFORMED CALF – The deformed calf in Carmen, Agusan del Norte has two (2) bodies and eight (8) legs.
Lots of Filipinos especially in the province preferred backyard cattle farming because it can give them a sustainable income. Even if the person only works as the caretaker, he/she can earn a commission upon selling.
The caretaker’s job is to simply let the animal eat grass in the backyard or vacant lot. But they shouldn’t be left outside all the time; they also need to be sheltered for the night.
Recently, a photo of a recently born deformed calf emerged on social media. It was shared on TV Patrol North Mindanao’s Facebook Page. The animal has two (2) bodies and eight (8) feet.
Based on the caption, the calf was born in Baragay Poblacion, Carmen, Agusan del Norte. Sadly, the baby animal died halfway through its birth.
The owner was forced to get the deformed animal out of the womb to save its mother. This genetic disorder occurs if the animal receives mutated genes from its parents.
“Sumala sa tag iya sa kabaw, naglisud ang inahang kabaw dihang nagbati. Napugos silang birahon ang kabaw dihang nakitang namatay na kini sulod sa tiyan aron masalbar ang inahan niini.”
The viral photo of the deformed calf elicited mixed reactions from the netizens. Here are some of their comments on the post:
@Nwad Semaj Yrreva: “Sayang naman. Kambal sana to. Rare ito na sa kalabaw or baka na magkaroon ng kambal.”
@Jennifer Cabad: “Hala! Ano nang nagyayari sa mundo. Ngayon pati hayop meron nang abnormal!”
@Grace Lim Serino: “Kambal sana, hindi lang na develop ng maayos.”
@Enna Grans: “Aww! Kawawa naman yung kalabaw, breaks my heart.”
