“Subway Soprano” Singing Homeless Woman In LA
SUBWAY SOPRANO – A homeless woman in LA, dubbed as “Subway Soprano” for her singing prowess is identified as Emily Zamourka.
CNN recently posted a photo on Instagram. According to the post, Emily Zamourka, a former musician, is a homeless person in Los Angeles (LA).
Commuters were stunned by Zamourka as she made a chilling performance of “O mio babbino caro” by Giacomo Puccini. This also caught the attention of a police officer, who recorded the performance and went viral.
Zamourka said in a CNN interview that she was not a trained singer but rather a a trained violinist and pianist. Her career ended three years ago due to an injury on the wrist and her violin broken by a man. This eventually made her homeless.
As per the report, netizens dubbed her as the Subway Soprano. She is one of the 60,000 people who are homeless in LA.
