Elderly Vendor Well Known By Customers For Her Smile

ELDERLY VENDOR – An elderly vendor in Caloocan is well-known to her customers and people who knows her for her heartwarming smile.

The vendor is identified as Nanay Daling and customers go back to her every time because of her genuine smile.

ABS-CBN’s Julius Babao visited Nanay Daling, an 83 year old vendor, and interviewed her. Daling said that she always smile as her way to attract customers. She also urges the customers to also smile.

Nearby customers also confirmed the same thing, saying that “mabait talaga si Nanay Daing”

Babao knew of Daing because he featured her in a story from Mission Possible. Babao mentioned that there are times when Daing was fooled by some customers, one of which only paid ₱20 instead of ₱150.

Daing said that she is now more careful after the incident but she did not deal the issue through anger, but rather understanding the customer’s situation. She further said that it will frustrate her more if she will get angry.

“’Pag may magbabayad sakin ng singkwenta, tinitignan ko na. Pero hindi ako nagalit, sir. Sabi ko, ‘siguro walang pera ‘tong batang ‘to.’ Kasi sir kung magagalit ka, lalo lang sasama ‘yung loob mo ‘di ba? Daanin mo na lang sa smile,”
