Aiko Melendez could no longer do her judging stint for Miss World Philippines 2019
Prominent actress Aiko Melendez skipped her judging stint for the Miss World Philippines 2019 coronation night due to this particular reason.
The finals night of one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the country is set to happen on September 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Forty aspiring beauty queens are vying for the chance to represent the Philippines in various international pageants.
Aiko was chosen to be one of the judges to choose who deserves to get the titles for this year. However, based on the report from PEP, the actress could no longer fulfill her duty as a judge. It was said that she rushed herself to the hospital on the night of September 14. This was after she felt numbness on the left side of her body.
The actress had to undergo several medical tests to determine if she had a mild stroke. It was found out that she had complicated migraine. Because of her condition, she has to skip her judging stint in Miss World Philippines 2019.
Aiko Melendez extended her apology to the organizers of MWP for she could not make it to Araneta to be one of the pageant’s judges. She also shared that her attending physician to take maintenance drugs for her complicated migraine.
Meanwhile, the actress thanked all the people who never left her side during the incident. “Don’t worry im feeling a lot better guys! But a prayer wont hurt And to all those who messaged me Thank you!!!” she shared. Here is the statement of Aiko regarding what happened.
