Fisherman Surrenders Suspected Drugs Worth P66M
FISHERMAN – A fisherman found suspected illegal substance that’s worth P66 million in Biri, Northern Samar.
One of President Rodrigo Duterte’s main mission is to eradicate drug users and pushers in the Philippines. The 74-year-old politician allegedly ordered to end the lives of the suspected criminals if they attempt to fight the cops.
Lots of people have already quit using illegal drugs after the harsher drug wars of the Davaoeño president.
However, there are still drug traffickers who always find a way on how to transport the illegal substance in the country.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, a fisherman in Biri, Northern Samar found 3 sealed plastic bags (2kg) and an opened plastic bag that weighs 1.5 kilos of suspected illegal drugs floating on the shore. Authorities said the package was worth P66 million.
The fisherman surrendered the illegal drugs he found to the police station.
According to the report, the fisherman returned to the police station that night saying a minor found another sealed plastic bag of illegal drugs that weighs 2 kilograms.
The Police Regional Office 8 director, Police Brigadier General Dionardo Carlos believed that those packages were dropped intentionally in the ocean or there’s probably someone set to fetch it.
“Yan ang isang nakikita kong possibility na ‘yan ay iniwan, open sea for somebody else na kakuntsaba nila to pick up these drugs,” said Carlos.
Based on the report, Dionardo Carlos also advised the public to inform them immediately if ever they found another illegal drug.
We can all hope that the illegal drug situation in the country will end soon.
