  • Pint mason jars
  • Floating candles
  • Lemons
  • Limes
  • Basil
  • Lemongrass essential oil

Here are the steps that are easy to follow:

  1. Slice one lemon and one lime (this will be enough for two candles).
  2. Put a couple of slices of lemon and lime to the jar.
  3. Add a couple of sprigs of basil.
  4. Fill the jar with water up to the threads.
  5. Add in 10 to 15 drops of lemongrass oil.
  6. Stir.
  7. Add in a floating candle.
  8. Light the candle and enjoy a pest-free home.

Aside from its purpose to be a mosquito repellent, you can also use this as a decoration in your own home. You can add some colorful designs or use different colors of candles. There is also a wide range of designs for the mason jar that you prefer to use.
