DOG – A heroic dog from Kidapawan City died after saving his owner’s 1-year-old baby from a cobra.

Birds, fish, cats, and dogs are the most common animals preferred to pet by lots of people. They consider these animals as their stress reliever or house companion.

But of all the domesticated animals, the dogs are preferred by many since it can be their helper, protector, and lifesaver. They are also referred to as ‘man’s best friend.’

These smart and affectionate animals can be taught with any kind of task and are a huge fan of their owners.

Dogs are willing to give their masters with unconditional love, companionship, and loyalty until their last breath.

Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, a heroic dog named Miley from Kidapawan City died after he defended his owner’s 1-year-old child from a cobra on Friday, July 20.

The dog’s master, Jaim Bugtay Selim, narrated what happened in their house in Barangay Lanao about 2 p.m. in the afternoon.

According to the report, Selim said the baby’s nanny noticed the loud barking of the 2 dachshunds outside the house.

He said the nanny was looking after their baby named Skye 30 meters away from the dogs.

“On duty po kami ng wife ko that time. ‘Yung yaya at abbay lang po ang naiwan sa bahay,” Selim said.

Based on the report, the nanny went outside the house then saw the dying cobra beside Miley that was also lying on the ground.

The nanny hit the head of the cobra to finally end its life and prevent hurting others. A few minutes later, Miley died. His “mate” Moxie who also helped to fight the snake was not harmed.

The owner said the heroic dog has been with their family for five (5) years.
