Isko Moreno Reacts On Granting Duterte Powers To Solve Road Congestion
ISKO MORENO – Manila City mayor Isko Moreno recently gave his reaction on giving President Duterte a chance to solve road congestion.
In a previous report, the mayor went viral when he had a dance showdown against San Juan mayor Francis Zamora during their guest appearance in GMA’s “Tonight With Arnold Clavio.”
Arnold Clavio requested them to dance to 90s and millenial songs. Both willed to dance showing their moves but Moreno stood out more during the showdown.
The actor-turned-mayor was part of German Moreno’s “That’s Entertainment” before he entered the world of politics.
Recently, he gave his comment regarding the grant to President Rodrigo Duterte to solve the traffic issues of Metro Manila.
A report from Manila Bulletin stated that Moreno believes that Duterte should be granted the special powers to solve the major road issues in Metro Manila. However, he also pointed out that the grant should also have safe guards.
Moreno further said that the decision to grant emergency or special powers falls on the Congress.
In his opinion, otherwise, he said to still give the president a chance, further noted that 16 million people have voted for Duterte, thus, he has all the mandate to solve the issue in traffic that has been hindering the metro capital.
As per the report, he lastly pointed out that the governance is about and for the people, noting that the people are happy and have full trust with the leader. He further said that if he is the leader for this particular issue, then, he can ask Congress to implement stuff since that is his vision.
