Many mothers have wished to have a baby. Testimonies from millions of mothers worldwide reveal that being a mother to a baby is one of the most rewarding jobs they ever had. However, some women have difficulties in having on due to some conditions.

Read about this mother who desperately asked for coins in an overpass to fund her baby’s treatment.

Meanwhile, in Cleveland Clinic, Ohio – a group of nurses and doctors claimed they were able to safely deliver the first ever baby in North America birthed from a womb that was transplanted from a deceased donor.

The process is called ‘uterine transplant’. It has enabled many women to give birth despite of their conditions by taking a healthy womb usually from a living donor and doing a transplant.

The first ever recorded uterine transplant done from a dead donor was made in Brazil back in December.

Andreas Tzakis – transplant surgeon – released a statement on the official website of the hospital explaining the scope of this study. The statement read:

“Through this research, we aim to make these extraordinary events ordinary for the women who choose this option.”

Also expressed gratitude for the kind donors for allowing patients’ dreams of bearing a child come true with their generosity.

This is according to an article from NBC news.

The baby was born back in June, according to the hospital.

This type of procedure originated from Sweden where it was successfully carried for the first time, five years ago.

The clinic is looking to get 10 women to participate in this research.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
