King Cobra Attacks Ilocos Norte Chicken Farm

KING COBRA – Residents at Badoc, Ilocos Norte persecute the king cobra who have been preying on their chickens.

Snakes are surely one of the most terrifying animals in the world because it could slay human with just one bite of their deadly fangs.

Good thing these reptiles are not fond of roaming in the streets since they preferred to hide in dark rooms or in the forest.

However, there are also venomous snakes who got lost from their homes and made their way to the area where there are lots of people.

In a previous article, a 73-year-old woman slain a 4.5-foot long cobra that she saw slithering in her house with a shovel.

She said she had to persecute that serpent since her grandchildren were also living in that house.

Recently, a king cobra attacked a chicken farm in Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

Based on a report from GMA News, the serpent measures over one meter long and just had its skin peeled off.

The residents on the area said the venomous snake has been eating their chicken. They previously tried to capture the snaked but failed.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) warned the people not to persecute the snakes but call the authorities or surrender the reptile to them instead.

DENR’s reminder elicited mixed reactions from the netizens. Here are some of their comments on the video:

@happy life of diode: “Kaloka wag daw patayin… patawa tong denr eh tao mamatay pag natuklaw”

@TenkU: “Surrender saan? Eh Kung matuklaw mga Bata at matatanda halos bulag na… daming mga kobra it’s not gonna be extinct.”

@Alex Sanchez: “Nasa judgment na nang tao yan at sa hinihingi ng pagkakataon”
