Hip Hop Artist Wins Gospel/Inspirational Category At BET Awards
BET AWARDS – The American actor and hip hop artist Snoop Dogg wins the Gospel/Inspirational category at the BET Awards 2019.
Snoop Dogg dubbed as the ‘high priest of 4/20’ has been a huge influence in the hip hop genre. He has made some of the most remarkable songs in history.
The veteran rapper also showcases his flexibility in music with unexpected team ups with unexpected artists such as Korean artist PSY.
This time he teamed up with Rance Allen – from the ‘Rance Allen Group’ gospel music artists – with his song “Blessing Me Again”.
With this, he won the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award during the 2019 BET Awards, last Sunday night.
The hip hop artist just beat already established artists in the gospel music genre such as Erica Campbell, Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond. He also left behind pop star Tori Kelly.
