The Company Recalled Several Units Of Their MacBook Pro Due To Battery Fire Risks

MACBOOK – The Apple brand – MacBook Pro laptops are being recalled for safety measures after it posed a risk of battery fire.

Laptops and smartphones, although very useful, are also complex devices. It has to checked regularly to keep it functional and to apply updates.

Tech problems are also common in these devices. Last year the Apple Inc. also noticed some defects in their products and had to fix it.

The defective products included the iPhoneX and other MacBook units.

Meanwhile, due to some reports that the laptop units’ batteries posed a risk of fire, the company decided to recall the products for assessment.

Older versions of the MacBook Pro, have batteries that might overheat and eventually cause a serious risk for fire safety.

Th e units recalled include 15-inch MacBook Pros that has a Retina display that was sold within the time September 2015 and February 2017.

Apple also offered to replace the defective batteries with new ones for free.

Several nations were affected by the company’s recall. State Administration for Market Regulation in China revealed that about 63,000 units in their region could be affected by the battery risk in Mainland, China.

It was also claimed that there were already six reported incidents in China. The laptops overheated according to them, making it valid for the recall and replacement.

Apple, on the other hand, said that the company hasn’t not heard of any report about computer damages or injuries brought by the defect.

Howver, they still called for the users of the mentioned laptop devices to stop using it immediately.
