EDDIE GARCIA: May Interview Showed That Garcia Had No Plans On Retiring

EDDIE GARCIA – An interview from GMA on May showed that late actor Eddie Garcia have really no plans of retiring from acting at all.

Eddie Garcia died on June 20 (Thursday). His remains was cremated a day after.

Previously, fellow senior actress Nova Villa gave her reaction on the actor’s death, specifically his love and dedication to acting.

“Sabi niya, ‘Mamamatay ako pagka hindi ako umaarte.” said the actress.

In lieu of what Villa said, an interview from GMA in May, as reported by Lhar Santiago of “24 Oras” stated that Garcia never really had plans on retiring.

Garcia further said that retirement would only bore him so he decided to act as long as he still has strength left.

“Hanggang, ah, gusto pa ako ng tao. Hanggang kaya ko pa,”

Eddie further added that acting is just a job, noting that if an actor/actress does it well, he/she will be rewarded.

He also said that an actor is always an actor and for him, no matter how small the role is, he made sure to play it well because it will be the best recommendation for another job,

As per the report, Garcia was also well-known for his professionalism as he would always take more than one projects. He would recommend color-coding as one of the best ways to arrange his schedule in his calendar.

“Halimbawa, may dalawa kang project na sabay. Gagawa ka ng calendar, oo,”

“Iko-color code mo. Bigyan kita ng three days dito, three days diyan. Tapos ibibigay mo sa assistant director,”

Days before he passed away, he carried a 45th award for his craft in both acting and directing.
