A Poor Turtle Was Rescued After It Was Seen With A Speargun On Its Body which the local residents helped remove
TURTLE – Residents from Boracay got together to collaborate and helped a young green turtle recover, it was hit by a spear gun to the body.
Lately, several reports of animals being hurt by alleged human attacks have surface news sites and outlets. Although animals could be dangerous in some cases, it always best to avoid violent contacts if necessary.
In a previous report, an alligator was spotted with steak knife lodged to its skull.
Meanwhile, in Boracay Island, the local residents took the initiative to save a young turtle who was apparently shot by a spear gun to the body.
A spear gun’s arrow was pulled out from the turtles body that was sticking out from the area right above the turtles left hind leg.
Noticing the length of the arrow, residents suspected that the arrow could’ve pierced deep into the animal’s body and could’ve hit its internal organs.
Every time it breathes, blood comes out from the gash. This was revealed by the rescuers.
Fortunately, the spear gun’s arrow was already removed from its body.
However, it still cannot be released considering its current condition.
The Turtle is now being taken care of by a non-government to assist its recovery.

Haron Deo Vargas – mmarine biologist from Boracay revealed that the turte is very weak but the organization is taking every effort they can to try and save the turtle.
He also mentioned that green sea turtles are already endangered. Implying that they should be taken care of.
