Police Director Relieved For Assaulting Female Cop
POLICE DIRECTOR – EPD Dir. P/BGen. Christopher Tambungan was temporarily relieved from his post after assaulting a lady cop.
We can’t deny that there are people who degrade their employee or co-workers who have lower status than them.
This mistreatment comes in different forms. It can be humiliation, verbal abuse, intimidation or threats.
This is considered one of the most serious problems in a company because it can affect the performance of the employee.
The victim may feel depressed, lower self-esteem and self-doubt. He/she may not be able to do the job properly.
Meanwhile, in the Philippines, a female police officer finally speaks up after she was allegedly abused physically and emotionally by a police director.
Based on a report from GMA News, EPD Dir. P/BGen. Christopher Tambungan was caught on camera hitting a Police Corporal April Santiago in the head.
On May 12, the police director requested the April to give him assistance in going to a restaurant.
The female cop told him that the police officers were all deployed because of the election. Tambungan got mad and hit her in the head and pushed the car door towards April.
According to the report, April Santiago claimed that the police director frequently intimidates her since that incident.
She said Tambungan threw her hurtful words and gave a 3-weeks day off. She became stressed on thinking about her situation so she reported him to Regional Director Guillermo Eleazar.
After he watched the CCTV footage, he temporarily relieved Christopher Tambungan from his post.
