Volunteers Clean ‘Baseco Beach’ Undying Trash Problem

VOLUNTEERS – Lots of volunteers arrived to help the undying plastic problem in ‘Baseco Beach.’

Most people are now on the beach to enjoy their summer vacation with their family and friends.

Some Manilans spent their somersaults to the so-called “Baseco Beach” in Manila’s Tondo neighborhood.

Based on a report from Philstar, thousands of people arrived at the Baseco Beach last April to beat the summer heat.

The Department of Health (DOH) previously warned the people of the danger in swimming into the beach.

DOH says the water nearby Tondo is still not safe and it has a high coliform level. It is a bacteria that comes from animals and humans.

Meanwhile, hard-working volunteers arrived today, May 25, at the Baseco Beach to clean up the dirty plastics.

Based on the video shared by ABS-CBN on their Facebook page, the volunteers still gathered lots of garbage on the beach.

It can be seen on the video that Firemen stepped into the muddy area of the beach to rake the stuck plastic.

Aside from the firemen, lots of people volunteered on cleaning the dirty beach.
