After replacing his skull with metal, this is Lance Raymundo now
Singer Lance Raymundo shared his current condition after his skull was replaced with metal due to a gym accident.
It can be recalled that in 2014, a drastic accident happened to the singer. His gym trainer tripped off and accidentally dropped the 80-pound barbell on his face.
He had reconstructive surgery for the bones on his face crushed. “My skull was replaced with metal,” he said during an interview with PEP.
“Kasi a lot of the bones in my face were crushed, as in hindi lang nabali, but crushed. So they had to get rid of it, and they actually installed titanium sa mukha ko,” he added.
The recovery stage was a challenge for Lance but eventually, he was able to bounce back.
“From time to time, I still get nightmares though. But I have been more grateful. If you’ve been through something like that, the way to get over it is to be grateful you are still alive,” the singer shared.
He also shared that initially, he was not sure if his face will return to how it looked before the accident.
For Lance, one of the greatest factors that helped his recovery was the prayers of his family.
The accident never change the life’s perspective of the singer.
As he was healing physically, he said that he also found spiritual healing.
“I simply accepted the fact na kung maging deformed ako all my life, it’s not gonna lessen my humanity. I’m still Lance. I’m still intelligent. I am still loved. I could still love. So, it’s only people who would say naman na parang, ‘Ay sayang, wala na yung mukha,'” he said.
Regardless of what happened to him, Lance Raymundo said that he did not blame the trainer.
“Before they rushed me to the emergency room, I told the coach, ‘I forgive you.’ Kasi if I die, I just wanted him to know that pinapatawad ko na siya,” he shared.
Based on the report, the singer also said that the trainer should not feel guilty because it was just an accident,
