Bato dela Rosa received criticisms for his statement about the University of the Philippines

Senatorial candidate Bato dela Rosa received criticisms from several netizens because of his statement about the University of the Philippines.

Based on the latest partial and unofficial results of the senatorial race this Election 2019, the former PNP chief is included in the top 12 candidates.

“Expected ko with the President’s endorsement, I know I can be somewhere around 10-12 maybe,” he said.

With this, he was asked what he will do first when elected as a senator. Based on the Twitter post of CNN Philippines, dela Rosa said that he will be physically fit first.

“Exercise kasi ang laki na ng tiyan ko kakakain ko no’ng campaign period,” he shared.

Dela Rosa added that he is willing to undergo seminars in order for him to do his job better.

He said, “Mayro’n bang mga seminar diyan? Training para gumawa ng batas? Kung mayro’n, I will take that opportunity.”

On the other hand, the senatorial candidate said that he is willing to attend seminars in whatever university except in the University of the Philippines (UP).

“Pag UP, hindi na ‘ko pupunta. Alanganin ako diyan,” Bato dela Rosa stated.
