ELECTION 2019 – During the election 2019, a voter expressed her dismay after the election officer asked them to leave their shaded ballot due to busted vote counting machine (VCM).

The Precinct Count Optical Scanner (PCOS) machine is designed to make the election more fast and transparent.

In the Philippines, several PCOS machines on different areas have been encountering glitches during the election 2019. Because of this the Commission and Elections (COMELEC) representatives and voters got into a bit of trouble.

In a previous article, a voter in Daraga, Albay complained about the electronic voting machine and the voting on their precinct was temporarily stopped.

Known personalities were not exempted on this issue. Election 2019 senatorial candidate Cynthia Villar and Jejomar Binay also had their concern on the machine.

A Facebook user named Stephanie Tang took to the social media to express her concern about the malfunctioning PCOS machine.

The COMELEC representatives asked them to just shade their ballots but leave it with them.

She and the other voters didn’t get to see their ballots being fed into the cote counting machine.

“The voting machines in our precinct aren’t working, so the precinct officers instructed us to cast our votes but leave the ballots with them.”

They are also told that if they really want to see their ballots registering on the machine, they have to wait for the COMELEC to replace the PCOS machine by 6 pm.

@Necy Solis: “It’s just a waste of time of all the Filipino people.”
