Swimming Pinas Team Hopes To Train World Champions

The Swimming Pinas Team Is Looking To Produce Filipino World Champions

SWIMMING PINAS – The Filipino swimming team “Swimming Pinas” is hoping to make world champions by training swimmers extensively.

Much like Michael Phelps, Filipino swimmers will be trained at an intense level to be developed much further and become world champions.

However, for the team to pull this off, Swimming Pinas has to make connections between Philippine Swimming Incorporated (PSI) and Philippine Swimming League (PSL).

PSI is the duly recognized association in the Philippines for swimming sports and PSL is the top level group recognized for their strengthened grassroots program for total development.

Joan Mojdeh, manager of the Swimming Pinas team looks into a bright future for the local swimming community after the recently founded developments including unity talks and agreements among several big names in the swimming sport.

During the team’s appearance in the 21st “Usapang Sports” by Tabloids Organization in Philippine Sports (TOPS) in Intramuros’ National Press Club last Thursday (May 9, 2019), Mojdeh claimed that they are confident in achieving their goal.

In his statement, he also revealed their team’s goal:

“Our ultimate goal in Swimming Pinas is to create a world champion in swimming. We’re very confident we can do it with the help of both the PSI and PSL.”

This is based on an article from Manila Bulletin | Sports.

Mojdeh said they called for 20 top swimmers in the Philippines to be a part of their group. He said they will be properly trained to reach their maximum potentials.

The Swimming would be busy, according to Mojdeh since they are competing for a place in the 30Th SEA Games to be held this year.

Major events upcoming in the swimming world are:
– International invitational event in Canada in June,
– The ASEAN School Games in Jakarta this July,
– Asian age-group swimming championships in India in September and,
– FINA World Cup in Singapore.

That is all there is to it, at least for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
