Ogie Diaz said this about celebrities who are endorsing politicians
Comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz said, “Hanapbuhay pa din yan” on celebrities who are endorsing politicians.
It is a known fact that the world of politics and showbiz are intertwined somewhere, somehow.
Some celebrities have crossed over to politics while some politicians have become celebrities in their own rights.
It is also a known fact that several people in the entertainment industry are vocally endorsing the politicians they are supporting.
With regards to this, Ogie Diaz shared his reaction to celebrities who are endorsing politicians.
The question was: “Mama Ogs, may bayad po ba yung mga artistang nag-eendorso ng kandidatong senador?”
He said that it could be free for the first or second time. On the other hand, the talent manager said that it is a different story when a celebrity is always seen on campaign sorties.
“Pag once or twice lang nakita sa campaign sorties, baka pwedeng libre lang yon. Pero kung lahat ng entablado, nakasampa ang artista, juice ko, prangkahan na tayo, kailangan din namang mabuhay ng mga artista. Hanapbuhay pa din yan,” Ogie said.
The comedian also said, “Peak season ang campaign period. Kitaan yan ng datung, kaya MERONG KITA diyan. At kalakaran na yon.”
Then, he also answered the question regarding celebrities who are in political ads.
Ogie said that some are really doing it without any payment but it is much better if a celebrity is endorsing the politician he or she believes while earning money.
