Mindanao’s Golden Valley Nets P1.2 Billion From Local, Foreign Investors

MINDANAO – The Mindanao’s Golden Valley netted P1.2 billion investments from local and foreign investors.

They find their money won’t go to waste in investing in various businesses in the country.

Among those places that are good for businesses is in Compostela Valley which is tagged as Mindanao’s “golden province.”

Based on a report from Inquirer, Mindanao has rich gold mineral deposits and good mining industry.

Mindanao’s Golden Valley is considered as the most promising location in the Davao region due to its very good climate, rising tourism and efficient road network.

During the conference of De Oro Business and Investment last March, the Mindanao’s Golden Valley netted worth of P1.2 billion from the local and foreign investors.

Their investments will be used on tourism, aquaculture, agribusiness, public infrastructure, real estate, mining, and community enterprises among others.

According to the report, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez successfully coordinated 14 projects from 16 investors from China, Indonesia, and European countries.

China State Construction Engineering Group has the biggest investment. They pledged P500 million for the property development in Nabuntaran, the capital town. P350.8 million for the bulk water system and P300 million for the business center.

Based on the report, the governor of Compostela Valley, Jayvee Tyrone Uy, said they gather lots of investors easily because of their provincial investment code.

Uy also said Compostela Valley will be renamed as “Davao De Oro” before 2019 ends.

The place can offer numerous tourist spots like their gorgeous beaches, luscious mountains, and marine sanctuaries.
