MRT Station 3 Sets Pickup And Drop-off Points For Passengers This Holy Week

MRT3 BUS AUGMENTATION PROGRAM – Here’s a list of locations that will serve as pick up and drop off points for passengers during their Holy Week maintenance.

This coming Holy Week, it is already expected that passengers will come to bus stations in huge numbers (Read more about it here). To conveniently guide passengers in their commute, DOTr MRT-3 posted a photo of their set locations:

140 buses are already being deployed earlier to accommodate MRT-3 passengers as they begin their Holy Week maintenance shutdown this April 15, 2019.

This Holy Week maintenance shutdown is to pave way for the annual general maintenance activities to maintain box cars, train tracks or rails, electrical systems and other facilities.

These buses will pick up and drop off passengers at every stations including both Northbound and Southbound stations of MRT-3. The buses will continue serving passenger from 5am to 9pm.

The same fare matrix in MRT-3 will be applied. This is according to the Facebook post of DOTr MRT-3.

The implementation of the EDSA Bus Augmentation Program will continue following schedules:

  • From April 15 (Monday) to April 17 (Wednesday) and
  • From April 20 (Saturday) to April 21 (Sunday)

The Bus Augmentation Program was launched earlier today headed by:

  • DOTr Undersecretary for Railways Timothy John Batan,
  • Undersecretary for Road Transport and Infrastructure Mark de Leon,
  • LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra III, Asec. Manny Gonzalez and,
  • MRT-3 Director Mike Capati

With the initiatives of:

  • DOTr,
  • MRT-3,
  • LTFRB,
  • LTO,
  • MMDA,
  • i-ACT and,
  • PNP-HPG

This is to provide a nice, safe and comfortable alternative transportation for MRT-3 passengers.
