Two Brothers In Municipality of Calatrava Shot To Death
TWO BROTHERS – Agravante brothers in Municipality of Calatrava were shot to death.
On Thursday, a tragic incident occurred at Sitio Mayana, Barangay Lalong, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Based on a report from Panay News, brothers Lucio (69 years old) and Domingo Agravante (57 years old) were shot dead around 5 a.m.
The authorities stated that the two brothers were shot on the different parts of their body.
According to the report, they were brought to the nearby hospital where the doctor declared them “dead on arrival.”
Police officers in Calatrava recovered 28 empty shells of a 5.56 –caliber gun, two empty shells of a .45-caliber pistol, six empty shells of a 7.62-caliber gun, two live bullets and two dud of an M16 riffle, and a slug of a .45-caliber revolver in the house of the Agravante brothers.
Based on the report, PO3 Christopher Ughayon said that the attack was led by Sulpicio Hernan Jr. of Barangay Bato, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental.
Hernan brought 30 armed men with him and peppered the house of the Agravante brothers in Barangay Lalong.
Aside from the attack, Sulpicio Hernan Jr. and his men robbed the neighbor of the two brothers. They stole 3 cellphones and P70,000 from the relatives of the victim named Roldan Marcelo and Pedro Cortez.
