Maureen Wroblewitz received various reactions for her controversial “pinya” photo
Eat Bulaga host Maureen Wroblewitz, who is also the first Filipina to win Asia’s Next Top Model, received various comments because of her controversial “pinya” photo.
After winning in ANTM, Maureen continued her modeling stints and was given a chance to be included in EB family.
She shared one of her recent modeling stint. The model captioned her post with “behind the scenes – photos coming soon • bilisan mo pagdevelop haaa @cerillafrommanila”.
Maureen shared 4 photos from the said shoot and the first one she shared caught the attention of many netizens. It is because of the pineapple in her photo.
Based on the article published on the entertainment section of Bandera, many thought it was a remake of the daring film of Rosanna Roces with the title Patikim ng Pinya.
The article also stated that during the height of its popularity, it was reported that the title was supposed to be read as “Patikim ng P niya”.
It is a double meaning phrase which also has a naughty connotation.
Reportedly, Maureen Wroblewitz was clueless why netizens commented about that. She answered to one of her followers, “Random lang, as the photographer.”
Following this, the EB host posted on her Twitter again regarding this issue.
“I really don’t understand why some people find this weird or awkward. i’d find it more if there was nothing at all, i mean at least it’s covering the creases from the pants,” Maureen wrote.
Based on the article, some followers of the model just told her to ignore the negative comments.
With this, she answered, “Maybee, I just really don’t get it. It’s art, my photographer is just very creative.”
